Feminism. The F-Word. The evil concept, according to the media, that women hate men and promote violence against men. Currently, many of my peers believe the critics. I want to show them both wrong.
I am a university senior, double majoring in Digital Arts and Humanities with a minor in Gender Studies. Currently, I am working on my senior project, an important part of my educational career. My plan is to recreate and collage some of the feminism posters made during the 1980s during the Second Wave of Feminism by using individual pictures of modern feminists. By doing this, I will show that, despite its critics, Feminism Isn't Dead. It is very much alive. Feminism is in us, in our actions, in the way we speak, and how we act.
I am in the process of collecting photographs of people (all genders) who call themselves feminists today for my senior project. If you need clarification, I am using the Feminist definition of someone who believes in equal rights for everyone despite differences in gender, sex, sexuality, race, etc.
I welcome pictures of yourself and those around you who proudly call themselves feminists. I would prefer the format be individual head shots, but I welcome any pictures as long as they have the subject's consent.

I sincerely appreciate your help in spreading the word about my project! I am hoping to collect thousands of pictures by March of 2012 and every one counts.
